Some of the charities we support are listed below but our main focus for 2010 is St Barnabas Hospice in Worthing which has the mammoth task of raising millions of pounds for the construction of a new hospice, work is already under way with completion in 2011.
We have recently purchased a life stone which will be placed on the walk of life in the grounds of the new hospice. This is such a worthwhile cause and we have seen at first hand the wonderful care and facilities they provide for many people.
Chestnut Tree House is a Hospice in Arundel for children and again does an amazing job of caring for and supporting children and their families. So many of these families are coping with daily heartache and pain but this is hopefully made a little easier for them in such a fantastic and uplifting environment.
We also support the Mary How Trust based in Pulborough which runs a screening service in the area, personal experience helps us understand the importance of these charities. Our small contribution of selling tickets for the Mary How film society and the sponsorship of the diaries as well as supporting various events throughout the year hopefully helps in a small way.
The Rotary Club of Storrington regularly gives to local charities and we support various events throughout the year.
We give all worthy causes our consideration of support and welcome further enquiries from charities in the area.
