Meet the Guy Leonard team

Neil started his career in the early eighties working for a well respected firm of estate agents in Maidenhead Berkshire, returning to Horsham in Sussex in 1984, and setting up in business in Worthing in 1987. In the recession of 1991 he left the coast and joined Guy Leonard to start the business north of the South Downs. The business has grown over the years, and now employs over 25 staff in a multi faceted business from 3 offices in Sussex and the London office in Mayfair. Neil has been married to Cathy for 15 years and has three lovely daughters. His passion is the business and providing the very best service to his customers but his family come first!

Cathy started working in estate agency in 1982 in Petworth, moving on a couple of years later to Grayshott, near Hindhead. She had a career break from 1988 until 1992 as she had two little girls to care for. Cathy joined Guy Leonard when he set up the company in March 1992 working on a part time basis to fit in around the children. This role within the company grew (as did her family - she now has three daughters), when she took over the running of the letting department. Cathy now focuses on lettings together with the administration involved with running the company. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, walking and spending time with her family.

Peter has worked in estate agency for over 10 years. He started in the corporate world of estate agency and waited two years to join GL & Co as the next step in his career in estate agency. Peter always felt he could service his passion for people and property working for GL & Co, and he has built up a successful relationship with the Storrington area and the people living there. Having previously worked in IT and Media, Peter now feels he has found his true vocation in life.

Marion has over 25 years of experience in the local West Sussex property market, both in new homes and residential sales. She has always worked for independent estate agents, across Horsham, Henfield and Storrington and joined Guy Leonard and Company in December 2009. Marion lives in Horsham, and is a keen horticulturalist and cook. She enjoys taking part in the office dance classes!  

Craig joined Guy Leonard & Co in 2010, having previously worked as an estate agent covering Worthing, Goring, Brighton and Lancing. He has lived in the local Storrington area for 22 years, and enjoys working in the area he grew up in and the interesting range of properties the area has to offer. He particularly likes the focus GL & Co place on their clients and ensuring they receive good service at all stages of the sales process. Craig and his wife enjoy living close to their extended family and friends, and spending time with them at the weekends.

Michelle previously worked as a Manager at a large Pensions Company, and joined GL & Co in 2007 after having her first child. She has lived in Horsham for over 10 years, and loves the family atmosphere in the town. Michelle manages the new media and marketing for GL & Co, and the loyalty scheme. She thoroughly enjoys working for a family firm after working for a large corporate firm for so long, and has gone back to her roots as her Dad was a Chartered Surveyor and had his own estate agency business! 

Andrew started his estate agency career in 1983 and became a Fellow of the NAEA in 1993. He has a wide range of experience and knowledge across the housing market, having worked for both independent and corporate estate agencies throughout Surrey and Sussex. Andrew has lived locally with his wife and two children since 1992. In his youth, Andrew was a keen sportsman who played cricket and golf at County level, but is more of an armchair fan these days, particularly when it comes to his beloved Arsenal football team. Andrew says that one of the best things about working for GL & Co is that it really is a family concern, where one of our measures of success is by the number of satisfied clients that we have.

Huw has lived and worked locally in Sussex for many years, having originally been born in Hampshire; then he moved to Wales where he was brought up on a farm. Prior to joining GL & Co he was a branch manager locally with a large national corporate estate agency chain. Huw brings wide knowledge to our organisation, having worked in the Middle East in Abu Dhabi and also in New Zealand. He has specialist knowledge of Thatched and Non Standard Construction Insurance. Huw loves the outdoors, is a keen walker and snowboarder and has two young sons who help to keep him fit and active.

Ian is able to offer a wealth of experience, having worked for over 25 years in the industry and as a Fellow of the NAEA. He started work for an independent estate agent in Godalming, and has spent most of his career along the West Sussex/Surrey border dealing with a wide range of properties from period cottages, new homes and land. He has worked for both corporate and independent agents and has worked for GL & Co since 2010. Outside of work, Ian enjoys spending time with his wife, walking their Springer Spaniel and socialising with friends in the local area or London. Ian also enjoys playing golf and visiting the theatre.

Nick brings with him a wealth of experience dealing in property having started his career over 25 years ago in Guildford. He has worked in agency in both Horsham and Southwater covering the surrounding villages and most recently for another independent company in Henfield. Prior to working in Henfield village, Nick spent many years in the new homes side of the industry and has worked for both corporate and independent companies.  He is delighted to be working once again in Horsham, particularly for GL & Co, is passionate about providing a professional, first class service. Nick is a family man with three children and can often be found cycling along the Downs Link or walking with their golden retriever, in between providing a taxi service for the children!

After training in London over thirty years ago Nick went on to become a partner of a large estate agency firm in the Home Counties. Following the firm's sale in 1988 he became the national sales director for a large corporate firm of estate agents and later headed the property advertising team at Country Life magazine.

Susan's many years spent handling clients' advertising needs have given her an in-depth knowledge of media advertising throughout the UK. Through high volume advertising she is able to pass on to clients special reduced rates available only through Mayfair Office.

An estate agent since leaving school, Annette was trained in the Home Counties and ran her own firm before joining Mayfair Office as its Business Development Director. Annette shares a deep understanding of estate agency management, structure and development with a keen interest in people and property: this makes her a popular source of fresh ideas for estate agency clients and also a welcome mine of valuable information and balanced advice to buyers and sellers.

Angie started her estate agency career in 1986 working for a large corporate company in Pulborough. Married with two children, she returned to work in 1993 to work for a small family run firm - GL & Co, with one office and five members of staff. The concept of a family run firm remains today and Angie feels privileged to have been part of a friendly, approachable team. Having lived in West Sussex all her life, she has an excellent knowledge of the local area. In her spare time she enjoys walking and travelling. Angie plays Stoolball for a local village team and is currently enjoying the challenge of learning ballroom dancing!

Philip has been working in lettings in Arundel, Chichester and Storrington for the last six years. He was previously an estate agent in Muswell Hill, North London, and then spent some time in Brussels as a Freelance Relocation Consultant. He has been living in Amberley since his return from Brussels, and plays tennis for Arundel Lawn Tennis Club and plays badminton in Storrington. Philip is very involved with the local community, and has been a Magistrate since May 2010 and a Parish Councillor for Amberley since November 2008.

Karen has worked in the property industry for 20 years. She started in lettings and management locally; in 1990 she worked for two independent agents in Sussex until 2000 when she moved into overseas property. Karen moved back into lettings and management in 2009 having missed the diversity the Sussex property market has to offer. In her spare time she enjoys playing taxi for her two daughters, cycling, and working off her stresses at her Zumba classes.
