A busy market and lots of planning to be done!

Well I am a day late writing my blog this week as there are so many other jobs to do. Both sales and lettings are frantically busy which is great news – lettings could really do with a host of new properties across our area, Storrington, Pulborough and Horsham, as we have let everything and are so short of stock. Don't forget, if you refer a landlord to us, you could earn up to £50*.
As a company we have so much happening. We are holding a ‘Lettings Clinic’ in our Horsham Office on 14th March at 4.30pm. This is an opportunity for anyone with an interest in lettings, be they a landlord or a tenant, to come along and ask advice from an accountant, a solicitor, a mortgage advisor as well as the lettings team of Guy Leonard & Company. We feel that people often only hear the negative things about being a landlord but with the right agent the whole thing generally runs very smoothly. However there is a lot of legislation and if you are not aware of this a landlord can have a lot of problems. In my experience many landlords are confused about their tax liabilities and we have invited Chris Boustead of Monks Accountants in Arundel to attend the clinic to answer any queries. Jonathan Everett from Coole & Haddock, Solicitors, can answer any legal queries whilst Carol Ellis from Global can explain the latest buy to let deals.
We are also having a progress party at the new Martin Grant Homes development, The Amberley Collection, in Storrington on Saturday 18th February. The properties are progressing well and this is an opportunity for local people to have a look around as well as any interested parties from further afield. Representatives from Martin Grant Homes will be on hand to answer questions as well as members of Guy Leonard & Company. Come along for a cup of coffee and a surprise snack!
On top of this we are preparing a new publication, another Opening Doors magazine. This should be out early in March so anyone wanting to bring their property to the market should contact us as soon as possible in order to feature in the magazine. We have some very interesting articles as well so we believe that this will be a very exciting magazine to have on your coffee table!
We had our first company breakfast meeting two weeks ago and the next one is scheduled for 6th March so yet more planning needs to be done. Oh and in my spare time there is my daughter’s wedding in May to focus on not to mention keeping the youngest focussed on her GCSE work!
